Swoltron — Privacy Policy

Swoltron ("the app", "we") is a fitness game: real workouts train
creatures that battle other players. This policy explains what information the
app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. Email address, username, and a
password (stored only as a secure hash). Your username and chosen gym name are
visible to other players on leaderboards and in battles.
- Fitness and health information. Workouts you log in the
app (exercises, sets, weights, reps, duration). If you choose to connect Apple
Health, the app reads workouts, steps, active energy, and heart rate to credit
your training — this is read-only, entirely optional, and the
app never writes to Apple Health. Health data is used solely to power in-game
progression and is never sold or used for advertising.
- Workout photos and files (optional). If you use the
photo/file import feature, the image or document you select is sent securely to
our server and to our AI provider (Anthropic) to read the workout plan it
contains, then discarded. Imported photos are not stored.
- Approximate location. A ZIP code you enter during gym
setup, used only to show a city/state next to your gym name. The app does not
access GPS or track your location.
- Purchase information. In-app purchases are processed by
Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage entitlements (such as
revives, import credits, and the Battle Pass). We never see your payment card
details.
- Device information. A push-notification token (if you
allow notifications) and your device time zone (to align daily limits with
your local day).
How we use information
Only to run the game: authenticating you, converting workouts into creature
training, matchmaking battles, showing leaderboards, delivering purchases, and
sending the notifications you enable. We do not sell personal
data, do not show third-party advertising, and do
not use your data for advertising or tracking across other
companies' apps or websites.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to operate the app: Railway
(server and database hosting), Apple (payments), RevenueCat (purchase
validation), Anthropic (AI parsing of workout imports you initiate), Expo
(push-notification delivery), and Resend (account emails such as
verification). Each receives only what is needed for its function.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time in the app (Profile →
Delete Account). This permanently removes your personal information from
active records.
- Apple Health access can be revoked any time in iOS
Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
- Notifications can be disabled in iOS Settings or in the
app.
- You may also email us to request a copy or deletion of your data.
Data retention and security
Game data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymized
when you delete your account. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with
access controls on our hosting provider.
Children
Swoltron is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child
has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the "last
updated" date above.
